June 2nd, 2010Last Saturday marked the last ever Dutty Bass at Cosies. Jakes [Hench/Run] and Fire Man Sam [STB], smashed the small wine bar in the ghetto to pieces! Shop Dutty tee’s were worn by SafeSoul, Diss Miss, Kash Honey and a Dutty Boy, Chris. Big ups to everyone that made it down, it was definitely one to remember! Also Bristol Block Party is just around the corner! There is so much excitement in the air in Bristol at the moment..! Summer came to town with last weeks brilliant Stokes Croft festival, and next weekend we see the Bank Holiday land with a bang! May 21st, 2010This month we wave goodbye to Dutty Bass for a little while.. So who’s ready to get absolutely DUUUUUTTTTY?! The Cosies slot has come to an end, and it’s time to take this DUTTY BASS mutha to new playgrounds! We want to celebrate this epic end of an era in style so come down for a very special line-up indeed, and be part of making the insides of Cosies shake from start to finish!
Look out for future DUTTY BASS line-ups over the Summer – we’ll be partying well hard!!!
It’s time for Bristol Block Party!
May 20th, 2010The Island -Normally home to The Invisible Circus will be taken over by Babyhead and Bad Promo on the 29th and 30th of May for The Bristol Block Party! Both days will play host to a huge lin-up of acts, dj’s and entertainment, as well as clothing Stalls and Street Food on the Sunday! There will also be an indoor skate ramp, b-boy workshops and graffiti jam!
We’ll be present on the Sunday – providing you with both music AND a Shop Dutty stall! How exciting – we can’t wait!! Dress code says Big apple Style, 80’s B-boy, 20’s Mobster and Manhattan Chick! Let’s go!!
UPFEST ARE UPON US!

Bristol’s annual Urban Paint festival (- incidentally the world’s biggest!) – is upon us again! Last year was a right blast, with painters from near and far showcasing some truly amazing artskills! It all kicks off on the 5th of June at The Tobacco Factory and goes on for two whole days! It’s absolutely FREE to get in, but as it’s in association with N.A.C.O.A (national association for children of alchoholics) please give generously when you see the collection buckets!! There will be lots of live music at the event itself over the weekend, but look out for stuff going on at other venues too – like the The View gallery in Hotwells, and the midfest afterparty at Basement45 on the saturday night 10-4pm!
